El circuit dels Arcs es troba a la falda del castell de Sant Ferran. Té aproximadament 1.500 metres de corda i de vuit a deu metres d’amplada. Deixant enrere la graella de sortida, a final de la recta, trobem un revolt d’esquerres seguit de dos petits salts de pujada. Baixant trobem un gran step-up enganxat a un revolt, es passa un planell i després hi ha un viratge a la dreta seguit de dos planells, un nou viratge i dos més, que enllacen amb una xicana i un altre planell. Després d’una gran baixada, una nova xicana de pujada amb un salt al planer. Segueixen una pujada i una baixada per encarar el darrer salt del circuit, un gran salt en baixada que ens porta a la recta de sortida.

El circuit dels Arcs ha acollit pilots de renom de diferents especialitats, que l’han fet servir per entrenar-se o que han participat en algunes de les competicions. Alguns d’aquests pilots destacats són: Mika Ahola, pilot d’Enduro, tres vegades campió del món; Takahisa Fujinami, campió del món de Trial el 2001; Maxime Lesage, campió d’Europa de Supercròs; Francisco Javier García Vico, campió d’Espanya de Motocròs; Joan Cros, campió d’Espanya de Supercròs, i Xavier Puigdemont, campió de Catalunya d’Enduro Scratch, entre molts altres.

Circuit des Arcs

Le circuit des Arcs, situé sur le flanc du château de Sant Ferran, mesure environ 1 500 mètres de long et de 8 à 10 mètres de large. Après la grille de départ, au bout de la ligne droite, nous trouvons des virages à gauche suivis de deux petites montées et descentes. Dans la descente, nous nous trouvons face à un grand step-up collé à un virage, suivi d’un replat et d’un virage à droite suivi de deux replats, puis un nouveau virage et deux autres conduisant à une chicane et à un autre replat. Vient une grande descente suivie d’une autre chicane en montée avec un saut, puis une autre montée et une descente avant le dernier saut du circuit, un grand saut en descente qui amène à la ligne droite de sortie.
Le circuit des Arcs a accueilli des pilotes renommés de diverses spécialités, qui s’y sont entraînés ou ont participé à certaines compétitions, parmi lesquels Mika Ahola, pilote d’Enduro, trois fois champion du monde ; Takahisa Fujinami, champion du monde de trial en 2001 ; Maxime Lesage, champion d’Europe de supercross ; Francisco Javier García Vico, champion d’Espagne de motocross ; Joan Cros, champion d’Espagne de supercross, et Xavier Puigdemont, champion de Catalogne d’Enduro Scratch.

Conditions d’accès au circuit
Les pilotes étrangers doivent présenter, outre la licence de leur Fédération nationale, un permis de sortie émis par leur fédération indiquant leur nom et la durée de validité de l’autorisation de s’entraîner hors de leur pays. Les pilotes ne possédant pas ce document devront obligatoirement souscrire une assurance individuelle pour chaque jour d’accès au circuit et payer l’entrée.

Arcs Circuit

The Arcs Circuit lies at the foot of the hill crowned by the castle of Sant Ferran. It is approximately 1,500 metres long and eight to ten metres in width. Leaving behind the starting grid, at the end of the straight, there is a left-hand bend followed by two small upward jumps. Then comes a large step-up coupled with a bend, then a flat stretch followed by a right-hand turn and two more flat stretches, another turn and then two more, linking with a chicane and another flat stretch. After a long descent there is another upward chicane with a jump onto the flat. This is followed by a climb and a descent before the last jump of the circuit, a big downward jump that leads into the home straight.

Conditions of access to the circuit:
Foreign riders, in addition to the licence from their respective national Federation, need an exit permit from that Federation stating their name and the validity period during which they are authorised to train outside their own country. In the event of not having this document, the rider is obliged to take out an individual insurance policy for each day he or she uses the circuit, in addition to paying the entrance fee.
